The TimbaTec DOCKING STATION was constructed as a charging station for all TimbaTec devices, and permits data exchange to proceed via the built-in interface at the same time as the charging process. In addition, a reserve TimbaTec Akkupack (accumulator) can be charged in a separate charging bay.
The TimbaTec DOCKING STATION is used as a desktop apparatus; it can be utilized, however, while firmly affixed to the wall (with optional mounting plate). A TimbaTec device can be easily and securely placed in position in the DOCKING STATION, and so connected, be moved onto a stacker or into an automobile. A socket which affords mains connection for power supply is found on the rear, using the accompanying cable. With a suitable adapter (on request) it is also possible to get power from the 12-volt dashboard outlet of a motor vehicle.
From a standard 25-pin terminal, likewise found on the rear, a cable for data transfer can be connected to a PC.

The TimbaTec Charging unit is a tabletop charging station for all TimbaTec devices. A second reserve accumulator can be charged simultaneosuly. A fully-charged Akkupack is thus permanently available. Both NiCd and NiMH Akkupacks can be charged.
The TimbaTec with its installed Akku is placed vertically into the TimbaTec Charging Unit. The built-in microprocessor-controlled electronic charger gently charges the Akkupack and protects it from overcharging when left too long in the Charging Unit.

To charge your TimbaTec CE via the system interface, connect the secondary plug to the socket on the top face of the TimbaTec CE (press firmly in place), and the power plug to a 230-volt AC mains outlet. The Mains Supply Plug is suitable for use in dry places only!
The charging indicator on the service cable informs you about the charging status of your TimbaTec device. Technical data:

The TimbaTec Data Transfer Cable you can use for data transfer from the watertight interface to a PC.

The use of this cable makes possible data transfer from the TimbaTec DOCKING STATION to a PC, from TimbaTec Pocket DOCKING STATION to a PC, or from TimbaTec Pocket with Serial Interface Module to a PC (To establish this connection the TimbaTec Pocket serial Adapter MH500010 is needed).

The use of this cable makes possible data transfer from the system interface of your TimbaTec CE to another system (a Personal Computer, for example). Using suitable software (for example, Active Sync + Windows CE Services), data exchange is carried out with no difficulty. Take care to see that the cable is fastened securely to the system interface.
Caution:
Do not use the system interface on the top side of the TimbaTec CE when the device is in the TimbaTec DOCKING STATION. The data interface of the TimbaTec DOCKING STATION and the system interface of the TimbaTec CE are electrically linked. Simultaneous use can cause a short circuit.

This adapter has a 9-pin socket and a 25-pin plug.

With this protective cap it is possible to use PCMCIA cards longer than standard (for example, wireless cards with built-in antenna). When doing so, the standard) PCMCIA flap of the TimbaTec CE together with its fastener is replaced with this protective cap. TimbaTec CE remains thereby watertight.

This serial interface is set in place instead of a PCMCIA flap (we recommend the left Flap, so that the plug is better protected) on the rear side of your TimbaTec CE, and acts as an extra COM-Port for connecting external devices (for example, a GPS receiver or a reading device). The TimbaTec CE software
recognizes the interface automatically and makes the COM-Port available.
Caution: Connection by means of the software “Active Sync” or “Windows CE Services” is not possible using this interface!
