Vehicle Tracking

Vehicle Tracking is an Internet, WAP and SMS enabled Fleet Tracking and Management Solution that enables a company to monitor and manage all of its fleet.

Each vehicle is fitted with a GPS satellite tracking unit, allowing owners to locate their vehicles to within 20 metres of their location at all times.

Vehicle Tracking is an innovative and cost-effective vehicle management solution that combines Satellite and GSM technology to provide significant business benefits to businesses. The system allows real-time tracking of vehicle geographical positions as well as the management of vehicles through alarms, alerts and driver Text Messaging.

With Vehicle Tracking you have immediate access to the exact position of your company vehicles at anytime. Vehicle Tracking has three main areas of functionality:

  • Vehicle Tracking
  • Driver messaging
  • Alerts and Alarms

Tracking functionality
A combined GPS/GSM unit is placed on the vehicle, which interacts with satellites to determine the exact location of the vehicle. The co-ordinates are transmitted by text message over the GSM network, where you'll find the location of your vehicle clearly displayed on a map..

Messaging functionality
Driver Communication:
All vehicles remain in easy contact, by Text Messages sent to the driver's phone or to a display unit attached to the GPS/GSM unit.
Updated instructions and amendments to schedules can be passed on, ensuring that the drivers are never out of reach

Alerts and Alarms
The GPS/GSM Unit can support direct electrical connections to the vehicle, both input and outputs.
For example, alerts can be sent to and from the refrigeration unit, the ignition, the engine management and central locking - which improves security and minimises the chance of costly mistakes occurring.
